After its unsuccessful entry a few years ago, Dell is now making its comeback to the mobile market. The company has announced a new Chromebook 11 and a new Dell Venue 10 Android tablet for education. Both the devices are currently being sold to the education market and the Chromebook 11 is in fact already available for purchase for $249.99.

The Chromebook 11 features an 11.6 inch anti glare display with 1366 x 768 resolution and you can choose between a touchscreen and normal display. The device has a durable design which includes a 180 degree hinge, to reduce stress at the hinge of the device and liquid resistant keyboard and touchpad. Inside, there is a dual core, Intel Bay Trail-M Celeron processor with a clock speed of 2.16GHz. It has 16GB of internal storage, 10 hours of battery life and options of either 2GB or 4GB of RAM. The Chromebook has a front facing HD video webcam and will feature an ‘activity light’ which allows teachers to monitor student activity, thereby facilitating more meaningful interactions.

The company hasn’t given much detail about the Dell Venue 10 tablet. All we know is that it will feature a 10.1 inch HD display, likely with a 1280×800 resolution. The tablet will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop and it will be one of the first tablets certified with Google Play for Education. It will go on sale sometime in the spring for $329.99.
