Venusa anchors an endgame Poison plus Blind build by keeping Hard Mode tower bosses poisoned while your shots apply Blind, and stacking Bakemi, Prixter, Roujay, and Selyne so the boss hits weakly while taking huge damage.
This is the closest thing Palworld’s 1.0 update has to a stand-still-and-win setup for Hard Mode tower bosses. It leans on the new status system, a single fully built Venusa doing the fighting, and four support Pals sitting in party to bend the fight in your favor. You and your Pal both matter here, which is the whole point — this is a hybrid build, not a “let the Pal solo it” one.

Why poison and blind win together

Venusa is unusually good at putting two statuses on a target at once. She applies Poison herself through her exclusive Poison Scatter and a basic move like Poison Fog, and Poison is a strong status to lean on: it ticks for solid damage and, more importantly, lasts far longer than Burn or Shock. Anything that keys off a poisoned enemy therefore stays switched on for most of the fight.
Her partner skill covers the second half. While she’s in party, your own attacks inflict Blind, which wrecks the enemy’s ability to actually land hits on you. Blind doesn’t linger as long as Poison, but you top it up constantly because you’re always shooting.
That constant shooting is the engine. Poison opens the door to attack reduction and poison-damage bonuses, Blind opens the door to accuracy disruption and blind-damage bonuses, and you keep both procs fresh by never stopping fire. Venusa stays out and immortal, poisoning the boss, while you blind it — double statuses up, offense and defense answered at the same time.
The five-Pal party at a glance
| Pal | Role |
|---|---|
| Venusa | The active, immortal Pal — applies Poison herself and lets your shots apply Blind |
| Bakemi | Attacking a poisoned enemy cuts its Attack by 80% (Grinning Death) |
| Roujay | +65% damage to Blind enemies, for both you and Venusa |
| Prixter | +65% damage to Poisoned enemies, for both you and Venusa |
| Selyne | Flat +80% attack boost for you across the whole fight |
Building Venusa for endless poison and survival
| Upgrade or passive | Use |
|---|---|
| Max soul upgrades (skip work speed) | Every combat stat pushed to the ceiling |
| Trust level 10 + four-star condense + awakening | Maxes her stats and partner-skill strength |
| Immortality | She stays alive and poisoning no matter what |
| Serenity | Cooldown reduction so poison moves come back fast |
| Legend | Movement speed plus an all-round attack and defense spread |
| Demon God | An attack bump that still adds defense with no negatives attached |
This is the full endgame version — do the best you can as you level and it still works. Venusa wants to be max soul-upgraded at the Anubis statue in everything except work speed, taken to Trust level 10, condensed to four stars, and awakened. The passives aren’t a glass-cannon spread on purpose. She isn’t here to hit a raw-damage ceiling; she’s here to exist forever, move fast, and spam poison without dying while she’s permanently out and not being swapped or dodged.
That’s why cooldown, movement, defense, and clean no-downside attack all matter more than pure damage. Poison Fog is a close-range move, so movement speed keeps her back in position, and shaving cooldowns keeps her poison coming off as fast as possible.
Venusa’s three active skills
| Skill | Use |
|---|---|
| Poison Scatter | Exclusive skill; steady poison output |
| Dark Whisp | Supports the Blind side of the combo |
| Poison Fog | Big guaranteed poison hit on every cooldown |
Load Poison Scatter, Dark Whisp, and Poison Fog. Poison Scatter is her exclusive skill and your main poison source, Dark Whisp helps on the Blind side, and Poison Fog is the guaranteed heavy poison hit every time it’s off cooldown.
Poison Fog is the deliberate pick over swaps like Poison Shower or Poison Blast. The build lives on reliable poison application — that’s what keeps Prixter’s bonus and Bakemi’s debuff live — and Fog simply lands that application more dependably than the alternatives.
Passives for the four bench supports
| Passive | Use |
|---|---|
| Idiosyncratic | Passive healing that keeps you topped off |
| Reload Master | Faster reloads so your fire barely stops |
| Vanguard | Player combat buff from the bench |
| Stronghold Strategist | Player combat buff from the bench |
The other four Pals never actively fight, but the right passives turn them into a buff battery for you. On all four, aim for Idiosyncratic, Reload Master, Vanguard, and Stronghold Strategist. These feed the player while the Pal just sits in party — Idiosyncratic in particular streams healing your way, which is a big part of why you never drop.
Player gear, weapons, and food
| Slot | Pick |
|---|---|
| Armor | Highest-tier legendary (ancient ideal) for attack up |
| Helmet / shield | Best available; not build-critical |
| Primary weapon | Plasma Rifle, or any rapid-fire weapon early |
| Secondary | Drone Launcher, emptied before the fight |
| Food | Meamarest Curry for the attack buff |
| Accessories | Lily Nox talisman, Dogen emblem, Lord of the Underworld’s baton; Katress ring only if you want Pal dark damage and Neutral resistance |
Your side of the build is built around one idea: constant hits on the boss to keep applying Blind and the poison debuff while doing real DPS. For armor, what matters is a legendary armor of the highest tier you have for that attack-up bonus — ancient is ideal so you also take as little damage as possible, but the “legendary” part is the important bit. Helmet and shield are just the best you own; nothing critical there.
Run a Drone Launcher as well: fire every drone out before the fight and let them passively add damage while constantly tagging the boss with your Blind and poison debuff. Your main weapon is the Plasma Rifle — arguably the best all-round rapid-fire weapon in the game — but any rapid-firing weapon works if you want to start this early, so upgrade as you go. Cook Meamarest Curry for the largest food attack buff.
For accessories, the three that really matter are the Lily Nox talisman (Venusa’s defense plus her dark damage), the Dogen emblem (a shared amp for you and Venusa), and the Lord of the Underworld’s baton (a double-dipped damage increase on Venusa’s output). The Katress ring is only an optional Pal dark-damage and Neutral-resistance piece; it does not boost your Poison or Blind output, so treat it as a small Venusa dark-damage nudge and drop it for a survival accessory if you need bulk.
How to run the Venusa poison-blind rotation in Palworld
This is the exact opening that gets Poison and Blind onto a Hard Mode tower boss fast, so you can plant your feet and hold the trigger.
Eat Meamarest Curry

Buff both you and Venusa with Meamarest Curry so the food attack bonus is live before the fight starts.
Fire out the Drone Launcher

Swap to the Drone Launcher and empty every drone so they orbit and chip the boss with damage, Blind, and the poison debuff.
Switch back to the Plasma Rifle

Return to the Plasma Rifle so your main fire keeps applying Blind and the poison debuff at range.
Enter the boss arena

Start the fight now that your buffs and drones are already running.
Summon Venusa and clear the adds

Send Venusa out and clean up the little extras so nothing pulls focus off the boss.
Keep firing to stack Poison and Blind

Hold fire while Venusa poisons the boss and your shots blind it — the blue effect on the boss is its damage reduction from being hit while poisoned.
Stand still and shred

With Poison and Blind both up you can ignore the boss’s attacks and just hold the trigger.

Bakemi is the reason you can stand still
Bakemi is the defensive linchpin of the whole thing. With it in party, attacking a poisoned enemy strips 80% of its Attack — so the boss hits like a coughing baby while you plant your feet and fire. That single slot is what turns “strong DPS build” into “I don’t need to dodge anything.”
Pull Bakemi out and the same fight changes. Against Hard Mode Bejorn and Bastigor — the exact bosses you can otherwise AFK through — the big explosion and the beam suddenly land, Venusa drops below half health, and left long enough the boss can kill you both. The debuff also, oddly, outlasts the actual poison ticks, so you effectively have that damage reduction for the entire fight once it’s applied. That’s how much one Pal is carrying the “immortal” half of this build.
Lead with Poison before you chase Blind — Bakemi’s 80% attack cut and Prixter’s damage bonus both switch off the moment Poison drops, so open with Poison Fog and Poison Scatter and treat Blind as the follow-up.
Running an early or unfinished version

You don’t need the whole endgame to taste this. Venusa and several of the supports can be bred well before their natural spots on the world tree — some from as early as level 20 — so you can run a lighter version of the concept early. The full power waits on a couple of late unlocks, chiefly Roujay’s saddle (the latest Hard-level requirement here) and higher-tier weapons. Until those are online, slot in any rapid-fire weapon and the best survival gear you have, and upgrade toward the final setup as you go.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Poison and Blind both be on a boss at the same time?
Yes, and that’s the trick the whole build turns on. Statuses normally overwrite one another, so you rarely see two at once, but Poison sits comfortably alongside Blind — which is what lets you double-dip on both Prixter’s and Roujay’s partner skills instead of picking one. Exact status-stacking behavior can shift with patches, but in 1.0 this pairing holds up in the fight.
Is Bakemi required for the build to feel immortal?
For the stand-still-and-ignore-everything feeling, essentially yes. Venusa’s Immortality passive, her heavy defensive build, and the Idiosyncratic healing from the bench keep her alive, but none of those stop the boss from hurting you. Bakemi’s 80% attack cut is the only piece that makes the boss’s hits stop mattering, so without it you’re back to actually dodging.
What weapon should I use before I get a Plasma Rifle?
Any rapid-firing weapon. The build only asks for constant hits to keep applying Blind and the poison debuff, so grab the best rapid-fire gun you have access to and keep upgrading it as you progress toward the Plasma Rifle.
Can this build work before the full endgame setup?
It can, in a scaled-down form. Because Venusa and several supports breed early, you can start the concept long before the world-tree endgame. The main catch is Roujay: you can breed him early too, but he adds little until you’ve unlocked his saddle, so early on you’ll want to swap that slot for another Pal that boosts the setup.
Why use Venusa instead of a pure player-damage or pure Pal-damage build?
Because Venusa is the piece that keeps Poison reliably applied, which is genuinely hard to sustain with other Pals, while her partner skill hands you Blind for free. That reliability is what makes the whole afflicted-target economy — Bakemi’s cut, Prixter’s and Roujay’s amps — actually stay on. You end up with a hybrid where both you and your Pal carry the fight, and it still matches the damage of the more traditional meta options.
