Fisch Sunshell Farming Setup: Water Park, Boosts, and Rod Results

This is a high-end Fischfest 2 farm, so your own rate will move with mastery, boost uptime, relics, bait, and how cleanly your duplicate catches chain together. The setup wins because it is not only trying to catch faster; it is stacking extra fish and high-value mutations on top of each catch.

Best Water Park Sunshell loadout

The strongest setup is Olympian Godbreaker at the Water Park with Anomalous and Beached. In the tested run, that pairing reached about 176,868 Sunshells per hour, ahead of the other rod and enchantment combinations by a clear margin.

KEY!The important part is that this result came from a fully boosted farm, not from the rod alone. Treat 176,868 Sunshells per hour as a strong benchmark for the showcased setup, not a fixed promise for every account.

Full gear, boosts, bait, and enchants

Acidic Larva is especially valuable on Soul Reaper because it adds the Acidic mutation at a 100% chance, giving a 7.3x money boost. The Migu Rod also may gain a 1.5x Lullaby Mode boost, but that interaction is still treated by players as uncertain, so do not build the whole farm around that value alone.

Rod and enchantment results

The tested numbers favor duplicate stacking over pure progress speed. Swift Might pushed progress speed very high, and Glimmerfin Crown helped with shiny and sparkling fish, but neither beat the Anomalous + Beached Olympian Godbreaker run.

Starfall/Stars Force Spirit is still a strong sovereign enchantment choice at roughly 151,000 Sunshells per hour, but the regular enchantment pair to copy here is Anomalous + Beached. If you are swapping between sovereign and regular enchantments, change them at the Keeper based on what you want to farm next.

Duplicate-fish stacking beats raw speed

Anomalous gives a 20% chance to catch a duplicate fish, and that duplicated catch can carry the Anomalous mutation for a 5.55x money boost. Beached adds a 10% chance for the Beached mutation, a 6x money boost, 10% progress speed, and another 10% duplicate-fish chance.

Shell of Fortune and Weighted Gloves push the same idea further. Weighted Gloves require level 1900 and give a 10% chance to catch a duplicate fish with the Chaotic mutation, worth a 6.22x money boost.

That is why the farm pulls ahead when Olympian Godbreaker passives generate extra fish: those extra fish can also feed into the duplicate chain. Glitch Potion may work with this style, but it is scarce enough that it is better saved unless you are deliberately testing a higher-risk run.

Fallback setups if you are missing items

If you do not have the full Olympian Godbreaker build, stay as close as possible to the same principle: duplicate more fish, raise mutation value, and avoid dropping too much comfort. Soul Reaper is the smoother fallback because its control bar is much more forgiving, while Migu Rod is usable but clearly weaker for this specific farm.

Migu Rod reached about 98,004 Sunshells per hour with Anomalous and Beached, so it can still carry a farm if you like using it. The gap is large enough, though, that upgrading to Olympian Godbreaker is the real jump for high-end Sunshell grinding.

Other Sunshell sources to add

Do not ignore the Fischfest 2 Island shoreline while you are farming. Normal Sunshell pickups give 1 Sunshell, Large Sunshells give 10 Sunshells, and Super Sunshells give 50 Sunshells; their exact respawn timing is based on community observation rather than patch data, so just sweep the beach whenever you are nearby.

Coastal Crates can also appear along the shore and may pay out up to about 100 Sunshells, with the often-cited 5% per wave spawn chance coming from player tracking rather than an official rate. Between fishing sessions, sell Fischfest 2 event fish to the event merchant, redeem active event codes, and fold nearby Coconut Town or beach NPC quests into your route for extra Sunshells.
