Great Shindo War meta window

Use this ranking for the bloodline meta itself, not as a Great Shindo War timeline. Update 249 landed around July 19, 2026, and Patch 249.5 was live by August 1, 2026, but Shindo Life bloodlines shift fast whenever balance changes, event access, bugfixes, and code rewards change the roll economy.

There are also more than 170 bloodlines in the game now, and many of the strongest picks are rare Mythic Clan or Eye bloodlines with sub-1% roll odds. Use this list as your current build priority, not as a permanent ownership ranking.

#10 Headless

Headless earns the tenth spot because it gives you a clean mix of damage and stun without needing the rest of your kit to carry every exchange. Its last move, Fate, is the standout: it auto-tracks, hits hard, and leaves landmines around the area, which makes enemy movement much less comfortable.

The first move adds useful burn damage, the Q spec works as an auto-aiming projectile, and the counter gives Headless enough defensive value to stay relevant. Run it when you want a reliable pressure piece rather than a full build centerpiece.

#9 Doku-Tengoku

Doku-Tengoku is a PvP-forward bloodline built around countering, burst, and smooth combo follow-ups. Its C spec, Q spec, and E spec all add practical value, so it plays like a full kit rather than a one-move pick.

It ranks above Headless because it extends combos more naturally. If your build already has starters and stuns, Doku-Tengoku turns those openings into heavier damage instead of leaving awkward gaps between moves.

#8 Borumaki-Gaiden

Borumaki-Gaiden is still extremely strong even from the eighth slot. Its moves are easy to connect, and some attacks can land in the rough 50,000 to 90,000 damage range on their own, giving it real threat in both Arena pressure and farming setups.

The reason it does not climb higher here is competition, not weakness. Borumaki-Gaiden has strong damage, good tracking, and bossing value, but the top seven control fights harder, scale better into PvP, or bring more oppressive utility.

#7 Shindai-Yang

Shindai-Yang is the first major PvE specialist on the list. It is not the cleanest PvP pick in the ranking, but against bosses it pumps out serious damage through clone pressure while you continue attacking.

The second move brings good AoE and decent damage, while the third move works as a usable counter. Keep Shindai-Yang equipped when boss farming matters more than winning every player duel.

#6 Raion-Gaiden

Raion-Gaiden is the all-rounder sitting just outside the top five. It brings strong burn damage, solid M1 pressure, useful E, C, and Q specs, good counters, auto-aiming tools, and huge AoE.

That spread makes it good at almost everything, especially PvP. Ryion-Gaiden does not need one narrow win condition; it pressures, punishes, and keeps damage ticking in several different ways.

#5 Alphirama-Shizen

Alphirama-Shizen is one of the best raw damage picks in the current top ten. It hits both players and bosses hard, brings long stuns, uses large AoE, and has a strong E spec plus a strong C spec.

Its auto-tracking moves and burn damage make it especially punishing over time. It is not the cleanest pure PvP bloodline in the top five, but when the goal is big damage across a wide area, Alphirama-Shizen belongs this high.

#4 Ray-Kerada

Ray-Kerada is the PvP damage spike of this list. One of its moves can reach up to about 150,000 damage when landed correctly, and its kit backs that up with huge iframes, good AoE, and attacks that are easy to hit.

It is not the best boss-grinding bloodline here, but in player fights it is terrifying because it does not ask for too much setup before the payoff. If your main need is PvP burst, Sen-Karada is one of the strongest high-priority rolls in this group.

#3 Ashura

Ashura ranks third because its powered M1 pressure is absurdly useful. After pressing Q, its M1 becomes long-range and can deal around 16,000 damage per hit, with stacks reaching up to roughly 80,000 damage.

The rest of the kit supports that core strength by trapping enemies long enough for the M1 damage to matter. Ashura also steals chakra, giving it value in PvP while still staying useful in PvE.

#2 Aizden/Azen

Aizden, called Azen in some player callouts, takes second because its damage and AoE are both top-tier. The bloodline is harder to obtain than several entries below it, but the payoff is worth chasing if you want a high-ceiling option.

Stage two is harder to use than the rest of the kit, so Aizden rewards players who learn its spacing and timing. Once you are comfortable with it, the moves hit hard, cover wide areas, and stay practical enough to land consistently.

#1 Code-Gaiden

Code-Gaiden is the best overall bloodline here because it does more than hit hard. Its moves are easy to land, several attacks teleport you directly onto the opponent, and its counters make it difficult for enemies to answer cleanly.

The biggest PvP swing is its cooldown pressure: landing a move can put enemy moves on cooldown for around 10 seconds. That creates free space for combo extension, and the spawned NPCs add extra damage while your opponent is stuck playing from behind.

Best bloodlines by player need

The numbered list gives the cleanest overall order, but your loadout still needs to match what you are doing. A player grinding bosses needs different tools from someone queuing PvP, and a combo-heavy build values control more than raw burst.

For a balanced account, build around roles rather than just the highest name on the chart. Keep one bloodline that wins neutral, one that converts damage, and one that helps with farming so you are not rebuilding your slots every time you switch modes.

Honorable mentions for strong movesets

Kamaki-Akuma is worth keeping for heavy damage and its standout design, even though it misses the main ten. Shadow, Apollo-Sand, Sand, Ice, Crystal, and Emerald share similar last-move behavior, which makes them useful honorable mentions when you want that style of finisher in a set.

Pika-Senko brings time-stop moves and a travel move, giving it real PvP utility. Kaijin is also more PvP-focused than PvE-focused, so it fits players building around fights instead of farming.

Vanhelsing stands out through good M1s, a teleporting life leech move, and an air-strike-style attack. Strange is another PvP utility pick thanks to its time stop, while Raion-Shizen/Reichen-Shizen can deal heavy damage with second-mode Q spec if you can hold the target in place first.

How wider meta lists differ

The main countdown puts Code-Gaiden, Aizden/Azen, Ashura, Sen-Karada, and Alphirama-Shizen at the front. Wider July-August 2026 meta lists shuffle that picture by ranking more general S-tier picks around Arena performance, rarity, and high-end PvE flexibility.
