Palworld 1.0 shifted the best endgame farm away from a single boss loop and toward two things running side by side: recycling Ancient Relics for a fat wall of general loot, and grinding high-level chest routes for the specific Legendary Schematics you actually want. The World Tree biome feeds the first half, while the Level 60 Oil Rig, Sakurajima Island dungeons, and the late-game sanctuaries feed the second. Here’s how to route all of it without wasting time in the wrong areas.

How to farm and recycle Ancient Relics in Palworld 1.0

You farm Ancient Relics off Pals inside the World Tree biome, then run them through the Ancient Relic Recycler to convert them into schematics, rare cores, implants, and gems.

Get inside the World Tree biome

You can only find Ancient Relics while you are physically inside the World Tree biome, so travel there first.

Farm Ancient Relics off Pals

Defeat or catch creatures anywhere in the biome to roll Ancient Relics as random drops in common, uncommon, rare, and legendary tiers.

Grind any part of the biome

The drops aren’t tied to the first area, so keep clearing Pals across the whole biome to stack Relics quickly.

Unlock the Ancient Relic Recycler

Reach level 74 and unlock the Ancient Relic Recycler technology to craft the station.

Build and power the station

Place the Recycler in your base and make sure it has an active power connection.

Add water to the station

Drop one water into the station’s input slot so it can run.

Load your Ancient Relics

Put all the Ancient Relics you farmed into the Recycler.

Activate and tick the box

Start the Recycler and check its box so the finished loot routes out automatically.

Collect the loot from the chest

Wait for the cycle, then pull the output from the linked chest.

The payout is why this is the top farm in 1.0. A single loaded run can drop over 170 of the game’s rarest crafting cores, multiple Pal implants (including new ones from this update), a handful of schematics, assorted gems, and even a Star Fruit to push a Pal from three stars to four. It’s grindy to collect the Relics at first, but the return per cycle makes the World Tree loop worth building your endgame around.

Level 60 Oil Rig weapon schematic run

For new Legendary weapon schematics, the Level 60 Oil Rig near Fabre Island is the best listed route. The trick is to treat it as a chest farm, not a boss kill — you clear in, loot every chest, reset, and go again, because the weapon schematics sit in the rig’s chest pool rather than being locked behind one guaranteed boss drop. The published 1% chest odds come from community numbers, so lean on the repeat runs rather than expecting a specific chest to pay out.

You’ll want full endgame access to Feybreak Island and the gear to survive the rig before you start looping it. If you’d rather buy than grind, the Legendary Energy Shotgun is sold as a guaranteed purchase from the Arena Merchant, which sidesteps the chest RNG entirely for that one weapon.

Sakurajima dungeon Plasteel armor farm

Armor schematics come from a different route. The best listed source for the new Legendary Plasteel gear is running Sakurajima Island dungeons on repeat and looting their reward chests. These are extremely rare pulls — community data puts the chance around 0.057%, so this is a long-haul farm you run in the background rather than a quick guaranteed unlock. Reset and re-run the dungeons, opening every reward chest each pass.

Because a few schematics can appear from more than one place, don’t panic if you see one of these drop elsewhere — Sakurajima is simply the most reliable grind for the Plasteel set, not the only door to it.

Secondary chest routes and Alpha Pal schematics

Once your main loops are running, the strongest filler is chest routing through the endgame zones. Fly a mount with a stack of Silver Keys and open every chest across Wildlife Sanctuary 1, 2, and 3 — the sanctuary chests behave like final dungeon chests, so they share the schematic-heavy loot table instead of the weak overworld one. The high-level dungeons in the northern snowy mountains (marked by blue ice crystals and white trees at the entrance) are another core stop, with the two end-room chests after the boss being the only ones worth your time — those can even hand out +2 Accessories and the Rocket Launcher schematic.

Older boss-specific schematics haven’t gone anywhere. Field Alpha Bosses like Necromus and Astegon still roll their own Legendary armor schematics, and there’s a well-known way to get a second bite: capture the Alpha, then butcher it with the Meat Cleaver to roll its loot table twice off the same Pal. If the boss grind feels dry, it’s worth raising the Alpha Boss spawn rate and loot drop chance in your world settings — that turns a slow hunt into a real farm. And if you’d rather build gear than gamble on drops, remember the Drafting Table (available in the mid-40s) lets you fuse lower-tier schematics upward toward legendary.

Common Legendary Schematic farming mistakes

The biggest one is assuming every Legendary Schematic is a boss-only drop. They also come from dungeon end-reward chests and quiet surface and dungeon dead-end chests, so skipping those end rooms leaves free schematics on the table. Don’t treat any single farm as the only source either — several schematics have multiple drop points, and locking yourself to one route just slows you down.

The other time-wasters are grinding low-level areas, where chest tiers cap out at uncommon or mid-game loot, and hoarding your unwanted schematics without feeding the Drafting Table. Finally, ignore anything about paying for schematics with Robux or Sheckles — those aren’t Palworld currencies. The game runs on Gold, and there’s no real-money shortcut to Legendary gear.
