You can grab an early Fertilized Egg from the chicken-filled hidden cave near Garnet Pavilion, then place it in the Cleanse Walker/classic walker incubator after the incubator room unlocks through story progress.
The Fertilized Egg is one of the earliest farm-loop items worth picking up in Beast of Reincarnation, even if you cannot use it the moment you find it. It goes into the walker’s incubator later, where it hatches into a chicken that starts feeding your cooking supply over time.
The route below covers the early cave pickup first, then the incubator use once the room is available. Keep the egg in your inventory until the walker opens the egg-growing function through story progress.
Location of Fertilized Egg in Beast of Reincarnation
The first easy Fertilized Egg is a Valuables-type item found in a hidden cave near Garnet Pavilion. The cave is full of chickens, and the egg itself is collected from a bird nest inside the lower cavern.
KEY!
This item is not regular cooking food yet. Its value comes later, when the incubator lets you turn it into a chicken that can produce regular eggs for recipes and food buffs.
How to get the Fertilized Egg in Beast of Reincarnation
This route takes you from the early Garnet Pavilion cave pickup to the walker incubator once the egg-growing room is unlocked.
STEP 1/8
Mark the cave near Garnet Pavilion

Use the early map area around Garnet Pavilion and head toward the cave system west of the marker.
STEP 2/8
Drop into the chicken cavern

Enter the hidden cave, move through the lower passage, and drop into the area with roaming chickens.
STEP 3/8
Loot the bird nest

Interact with the bird nest to pick up the Fertilized Egg.
STEP 4/8
Check the exact cave spot

Open the map at the nest area if you need to reorient yourself from the campfire-side route.
STEP 5/8
Return to the classic walker

Fast travel back to the walker and keep the Fertilized Egg until the incubator room is available through story progress.
STEP 6/8
Open the incubator room

Enter the left-side egg room in the walker and interact with the incubator slot once the egg-growing option is unlocked.
STEP 7/8
Place the Fertilized Egg

Select an empty nest and set the Fertilized Egg in the incubator.
STEP 8/8
Rest to pass time

Use the bed to rest until morning so the incubated egg can progress toward hatching into a chicken.
Pick up the cave egg even before the incubator unlocks; it safely waits as a Valuables item until the walker can hatch it.

How the walker incubator works
The incubator room is story-progress locked, so do not worry if the egg-growing function is missing when you first return to the walker. Early information differs on whether it opens just before Chapter 2 or once Chapter 2 begins, but the practical rule is simple: keep progressing the main story until the left-side incubator room becomes usable.
Once it is open, the incubator shows available nests. Place a Fertilized Egg into an empty slot, then rest or pass time; when the egg finishes, it becomes a chicken inside the walker.
What chickens and regular eggs are for

Chickens are part of the walker’s cooking loop. After hatching, they produce regular eggs over time, and those eggs feed into meals and recipes that give permanent stat bonuses through cooking.
Because the walker also handles other base resources, it is easy to leave ingredients sitting idle. Make a habit of checking the incubator and cooking area when you return from exploration so queued eggs, chickens, and meal materials keep moving.
Other early Fertilized Egg and incubator notes
| Thing | What to know |
|---|---|
| Oguchi Buffer Zone / Subcity 03 egg | After getting the Blue Key, clear the bear-like enemy near red smoke, defeat the Golem, then search the back room with Rice, a Rice Seedling, and Normal Recipe: Fried Egg. |
| Incubator slots | You start with limited incubator space, so every Fertilized Egg cannot be hatched at once. |
| Slot expansion | Raise the Cleanse Walker’s Power rank with Generator Devices, then spend Facility Modules to open more slots. |
| Golden Egg | Sell it for 600 Amber; it is a cash item rather than a hatching resource. |
| Valuables markers | Fertilized Eggs appear as Valuables, so check those markers when clearing early regions. |
The Garnet Pavilion cave egg is the clean early pickup for this route, but it is not the only early Fertilized Egg. Another one appears in Oguchi Buffer Zone / Subcity 03, tied to the Blue Key path and the room after the bear-like enemy near red smoke and the Golem.
Early players place the world total at around 11 Fertilized Eggs, while about six incubator slots are currently accounted for. That makes the early eggs useful, but it also means you do not need to pause the whole story just to chase every one immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you use a Fertilized Egg before the incubator room is unlocked?
No. Before the incubator room opens through story progress, a Fertilized Egg simply stays in your inventory as a Valuables item.
Should you sell a Golden Egg or keep it for hatching?
Sell the Golden Egg for 600 Amber. It is used as a valuable sale item, not as the egg you place in an incubator nest.
Do you need every Fertilized Egg early?
No. Early incubator space is limited, so one or two Fertilized Eggs are enough to get chickens started while you continue the story and gather upgrade materials.
