Start from the western campfire in the early map and move into Cliffside Village, toward the ruined camp with tents. Enter 08110 at the strongbox to open it; the nearby elite guard is optional.
The route restores Decayed Charm 1 into Critical Charm I. Decayed charms restore at camp into charm-family results, and this chest is the early pickup for the Critical Charm I result shown here. Repeat the farm for more rolls.

Run this route from the early campfire, reach the enemy camp, enter the strongbox code, and take the charm plus the extra loot. You can clear the elite enemy first for a safer area, but the code works without defeating it.

Begin at the campfire on the left side of the first map in the first chapter.

Push into the enemy camp
Head into the Cliffside Village combat area where the smaller enemies and elite guard are waiting.

Clear the smaller enemies
Clear the nearby small enemies first to create room around the strongbox.

Defeat the elite enemy
Take down the elite enemy guarding the camp only if you want the area clear first; it is not required before opening the strongbox.

Enter 08110 on the locked strongbox; no elite kill is required.

Collect the chest rewards
Open the strongbox and collect the full reward set, including Decayed Charm 1 and the Memory Chip.

Decayed Charm 1 is not ready to equip when it comes out of the strongbox. Take it back to a campsite and rest at the campfire; after that, check Koo in the equipment menu and slot in Critical Charm I once the charm restores.
Open Koo’s equipment menu right after resting so you can check that Decayed Charm 1 restored into Critical Charm I before moving on from camp.

Early mistakes after finding the strongbox
The strongbox is not missable, so you can come back later if you walked past Cliffside Village without opening it. If the chest does not open, enter 08110 again carefully; you do not need to defeat the elite enemy near the tents first.
The other easy mistake is checking your inventory and thinking the charm is unusable. That is normal while it is still decayed. After this pickup, keep hunting more strongbox codes and farm extra charms until you land the stats you want for Emma and Koo.
