Regular viewers of Fox Sports will know that there’s a new brand of sports channels appearing on their cable or satellite TVs. Yes, we’re talking about Bally Sports. Following an agreement with casino operator Bally’s Corporation, Sinclair Broadcast Group has rebranded all of Fox Sports regional networks to Bally Sports for the next few years.

With this rebranding, there are now 19 regional sports networks under Bally Sports, all offering local coverage of professional sports teams across different states in the US. In this post, we’ll explain to you all the details you may need to know about the Bally Sports app, the games you can watch in them, its release date, and devices you can use them on.

Is there a Bally Sports app?

Although not ready yet, there will eventually be a dedicated Bally Sports app that will allow users to watch all content that’s broadcasted across various regional networks under Bally Sports. Bally Sports was expected to release its official streaming app when all channels under the network got renamed to “Bally Sports” on March 31, 2021, but that never happened.

According to this official page, the app is in its “final stages of development” and we can expect it to be made available across all the platforms Fox Sports’ previous app – Fox Sports Go was available in.

In addition to being an app that lets you stream coverage of your favorite sports team in the US, the official Bally Sports app is also expected to offer users an easy way to place live bets during games to win real money and this option should be available as free-to-play. Other speculated features for the Bally Sports app include highlight reels, real-time stats, overseas access, and multiple streaming device support.

When will the Bally Sports app release?

As we explained above, the new Bally Sports app is touted to be in the “final stages of development”. There’s no clear release date as to when this app will be made available but the official page states that the app should launch sometime in Spring 2021.

Bally Sports on Fox Sports Go app

If you wish to watch content available under Bally Sports on your mobile or streaming devices, you can do it using the existing FOX Sports GO app until the official Bally Sports app rolls out. The company states that when the Bally Sports app is available, the FOX Sports GO app will be replaced and updated to Bally Sports as part of the transition process.

Games you can watch on Bally Sports app

You can watch almost all games of your favorite professional sports team with the Bally Sports app once it’s available across all platforms. We believe that users with access to content on Bally Sports should be able to stream content from any of the 19 networks available under the “Bally Sports” banner. If this is true, you shall have access to NBA, MLB, and NHL games across all major states in the US directly on the Bally Sports app on your phone or streaming device.

You should be able to get access to in-depth coverage of all of the following teams:

Bally Sports on the web

Unlike the FOX Sports GO app that currently lets you access Bally Sports content on all major platforms, there’s no certain way to watch games broadcasted via Bally Sports on the web. While there’s a Fox Sports Go website, it doesn’t appear to host any new content related to Bally Sports like the FOX Sports GO app. We can, however, expect a dedicated Bally Sports website to stream all content the content that’s available in the app sometime soon.

If you don’t have access to Bally Sports through a cable TV, satellite, or IPTV provider, your only option to watch content from the network is using the FOX Sports GO app.

Bally Sports app: Do you have to pay for it?

Until this point, there’s no indication whether the Bally Sports app will be available for a fee. For now, however, you can stream Bally Sports content on the FOX Sports GO app only if you have subscribed to Fox Sports through your cable TV, satellite, or IPTV provider.

The easiest way to gain access to Bally Sports is via compatible AT&T subscriptions. You can watch games on Bally Sports if you have subscribed to either the AT&T Choice $85 monthly plan or the AT&T Choice 2-year plan that’s priced at $65 per month for one year.

That’s all you need to know about the Bally Sports app.
