Update [September 20, 2019]: Another US carrier, Verizon, has also started seeding out September update for the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+, and also the 5G model, dubbed Note 10+ 5G. The software version for the Verizon Note 10 is N970USQU1ASHB while that for its Note 10+ and Note 10+ 5G is N975USQU1ASHB and N976VVRU1ASHB respectively. Naturally, the ASHB update ups the Android security patch level on the three devices to September 1, 2019, but that’s about it as nothing else seems to be part of the changelog.
American telecom giant, AT&T, has started rolling out an update for the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Note 10 devices. The OTA brings the September 2019 security patch to the flagships.
Samsung launched the Note 10 and Note 10 Plus, last month, capping off its flagship lineup for 2019. Running One UI 1.5, the Note 10 duo is guaranteed to receive prompt security updates, and AT&T’s most recent release only bolsters the belief.
The September security update carries software versions N975USQU1ASI2 and N970USQU1ASI2 for the Note 10 Plus and Note 10, respectively. The OTA is rolling out incrementally and should be made available to a wider audience over the next few days.
To check for the update manually, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Repeat the process a couple of times if you don’t see the update at first.
Samsung is already testing the Android 10-based One UI 2.0 beta on the Note 10. The company hasn’t confirmed the release date of Android 10 yet, but it shouldn’t take more than a few weeks.
In shocking news, it was recently rumored that Samsung may scrap the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series in favor of a single brand dubbed Galaxy One, that will have a Galaxy S-like flagship, and a model with S-Pen to please Note fans. If this goes live, Samsung will replace the Galaxy Note series with Galaxy Fold series for launch in later part of the year.
Besides AT&T and Verizon, Sprint is also busy updating its Samsung lineup, as they rolled out September update for Galaxy S10 5G, and updated Galaxy Tab A tablet to Android Pie recently.
