ASUS today during an event held in New Delhi, India unveiled two new phones, both with a notch. So say hello to the ZenFone Max Pro M2 and ZenFone Max M2!

As you probably imagine, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 is the most powerful of the two, while the ZenFone Max M2 is the entry-level version. So let’s see what they are all about:

Specs

In its presentation focused mostly on the ZenFone Max Pro M2 which comes with a large 6.26-inch notched display with FHD+ resolution, and impressively weighs only 175 g.

Powering this new mid-ranger is a Snapdragon 660, which is no slouch, especially considering that it can be paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. In the camera department, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 packs the usual dual-camera setup on the rear. This one is comprised of a 12MP main sensor (f/1.8) and a 5MP depth-dedicated sensor. On the front for selfie-taking purposes, there’s a 13MP camera with f/2.0.

The best part about the ZenFone Max Pro M2 it that it offers the service of a hefty 5,000 mAh battery, so it should be able to offer a long and satisfying battery life. According to the phone maker, the handset can sustain 10 hours of non-stop mobile gaming and 19 hours of YouTube movies.

ASUS also highlighted the fact that the new device also takes advantage of a five-magnet speaker with a metal voice coil that’s supported by a powerful NXP low-distortion small amplifier to offer powerful and clear sound.

As for the standard ZenFone Max M2, the phone comes with the same 6.26-inch display although we now have only HD+ resolution. The notch is also a bit wider on this model compared to the Pro version. The model includes a less-impressive Snapdragon 632 processor and a smaller 4,000 mAh battery. ASUS will be offering the ZenFone Max M2 only in 3GB/4GB + 32GB/64GB variants.
