Asus ZenFone AR update rolling out with improved NFC and June security patch

Asus is rolling out a new software update to one of the highest spec’d smartphones, the ZenFone AR. This is the second update being received by the phone which was launched in January. The first being pushed earlier this month.

The latest update contains monthly security patch for June. In addition, it also carries improvements for NFC. And as is the case with monthly security patch, the update should also tag along regular bug fixes and system improvements.

The update arrives as software version 14.1600.1706.19 and is being seeded over the air. As it takes about one week for Asus to complete the autopush, it may take a while to hit your device. If you haven’t already received the update, you can check it manually by heading to Settings > About device > Software update.
