November 3, 2019: Asus has started rolling out the stable build of Android 10 for the Zenfone 6 (6Z) in India. The update package carries software version 17.1810.1910.63 (Zen UI 6) and is currently rolling out globally. The OTA comes in about 810 MB, so, make sure you’re on Wi-Fi while downloading the highly-anticipated update.
August 21, 2019: A new update is now rolling out for the ZenFone 6, coming as software version 16.1220.1908.189 (via XDA). The update brings a lot of bug-fixes, and also the security patches for the months of July and August 2019. The update is available for the European and Global units, and here’s its official changelog from Asus:

With the .189 build, ZenFone 6 now has a new feature called Smart Keys, that allows you to quickly perform a lot of functions of the smartphone pretty easily.
Besides the above, you also get a Google Lens shortcut in the Camera app, and lastly, Call Volume ‘Optimization’, that lets you set the volume level to Comfortable so that you don’t have the change the volume during a call to suit the surrounding you are in. So, that’s a pretty hefty update with a longer than usual changelog.
July 01, 2019: Asus is rolling out a new software update, build WW_16.1210.1906.156, for the ZenFone 6 (6z in India) where it enables support for ARCore for the device, and also brings in various improvements for the quality of photos and videos, video call experience, and screenshot function. The update also installs June security patch. On the camera front, users will not have 8X zoom feature, ability to start/stop video recording with volume keys, better noise reduction, smoother flip motion of the camera, and better Full HD video recording.
