Samsung has really stepped up their game when it comes to rolling out updates for their devices.
The South Korean giant had rolled out the Android Pie update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 as well as the Galaxy S9 and S9+ just a few days ago and now it seems the Galaxy A9 2018 and Galaxy A8 2019 would be receiving the delicious Pie update soon.
The Galaxy A9 2018 was launched with Android 8 Oreo on board while the Galaxy A8 came preloaded with Android Nougat. Fortunately, Samsung is taking the updates seriously this time around which is a great move by the company.
Here are all the models that were certified today at Wi-Fi Alliance for Android Pie update:

As per Samsung’s own update roadmap, both the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A9 2018 models would be receiving the update sometime around April this year. However, it’s worth noting that Samsung seems to be ahead of schedule when it comes to the rollout of the Android 9 Pie update since the Galaxy S9/S9+, as well as the Note 9, received the update a few weeks and days ahead of the schedule.
Since Samsung is now almost done with the rollout of the Pie update for the S9/S9+ and the Note 9, the next in line for the update would be 2017’s flagship line up which are the Galaxy S8/S8+ and the Note 8, after which the Galaxy A8 2018 and Galaxy A9 2018 along with some other Samsung devices would receive the Android Pie update.
