Samsung has been working on rolling out the Android Pie update for its flagship devices from last year and now the One UI beta program has begun for the Galaxy S8/S8+.
Samsung’s Turkish wing Guncelmiyiz has now revealed the dates for when users of Galaxy A9 2018 and Galaxy A7 2018 should expect the Pie update rollout to begin.
As per the information available on the Guncelmiyiz webpage, it seems the Galaxy A9 2018 and Galaxy A7 2018 would be receiving the Pie update by 15 March 2019.
This means, once the Galaxy S8/S8+ and Note 8 receive the stable Pie update, Samsung would begin working on rolling out the Android 9 update for the A9 2018 and A7 2018 along with a couple of other devices.
Nonetheless, it’s great to have the exact dates as to when to expect the update to be released. Since Samsung released the pie update a few days earlier than expected for the Galaxy S9/S9+ and the Galaxy Note 9 as well, we expect the Pie update for the Galaxy A9 and A7 would arrive in time as well.
It’s also worth noting that Samsung recently published an Android Pie roadmap in its official Members app that pointed to an April 2019 release date for the A9 2018 and A7 2018, so be sure to take all this info with a grain of salt, at least until the OS actually starts rolling out.
