Hot off the rollout of Android Pie for AT&T LG V35, we have some good news in that regard for the Samsung users too.
While most of the Samsung devices have scored the Pie update by now, along with an update to One UI, there are some Pie-eligible Samsung devices that are yet to be given the green flag. Two of those devices are Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018 edition, model no. SM-T387) and Galaxy J7 Duos (Model no. SM-J720F), and they should be updated to Android Pie pretty soon.
Thanks to Wi-Fi Alliance, we now know that the Android Pie build is almost ready with Samsung. Both the Tab A 2018 and J7 Duos have received clearance for Android 9.0 software at Wi-Fi Alliance, which is a big step towards public rollout.
As regards the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2018, all of its variants were certified for Pie update today, including those at Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, and even the Canadian models. We normally see the OTA update go live within 1-2 months of it getting certified at Wi-Fi Alliance.
