Brazil is a darling market for Motorola and this is why the country played host to the launch of the Moto G6 and Moto E5 series. It is also for this reason the market was the first to receive Android 8.0 Oreo on the OG Moto Z, but the OS is now available north of the South American football powerhouse.

If you live in the U.S. and have been waiting for the Oreo update on the Moto Z, today is the day you get it on your phone. The OS is available over the air and comes with software version OPL27.76-51, the same version that brought Oreo to the European and Canadian versions of the handset a month ago.

Like any other OTA update, however, not all Moto Z users will receive the notification to download the OS today, but the wait shouldn’t be long. It’s also worth noting that even though the Moto Z probably won’t receive Android P officially, we already have an unofficial Android P build available for download.
