Android 9 Pie update for Samsung Galaxy J7 in the US to be released soon

Samsung has been up and about releasing smartphone after smartphone the past couple of months and fortunately the South Korean Giant hasn’t forgotten about updating its existing devices.

The popular budget Galaxy J7 might be getting the Android Pie update within the next couple of months since we’ve spotted the device running the Pie build on Wi-Fi Alliance.

The Android 9 Pie update would bring along One UI to the Galaxy J7 which would offer users a breath of fresh air from the traditional Experience UI skin over Android.

Here are the Galaxy J7 models which were spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance page which were running Android 9 Pie — SM-J727A – SM-J727AZ – SM-S737TL – SM-J727T – SM-J727T1, SM-J727U – SM-J727T1 – SM-S737TL – SM-J727T – SM-J727U.

One UI brings about quite a few changes including a major cosmetic redesign which might be appealing to some; however, some users do prefer the Experience UI design over One UI.

Nevertheless, once the update is available, you would be able to download it via the OTA update or you could also install the update as a fresh install with Samsung’s Odin software.

To check for a software update, follow these steps:

Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
