[September 25]: Okay, T-Mobile just made it official, nearly 7 days after we first reported. This also means that in case you hadn’t received an OTA notification to Android Oreo yet, chances are only greater that you will now. To know more about the Android Oreo rollout for T-Mobile Galaxy J7 Pop, read the original story right below.

A week ago, U.S. Cellular started rolling out Android 8.1 Oreo to the Galaxy J7 Pop, signaling the software’s arrival on the U.S. J7 2017 handsets and yesterday, T-Mobile’s MetroPCS started rolling out a similar update to its own variant of the J7 Pop.

Now, today, T-Mobile has started seeding the same Oreo, 8.1, update to the Galaxy J7 Pop (SM-J727T) as software version J727TUVU3BRH3. Besides installing a new OS, the update, which is available over the air, also brings along June’s Android security patches.

OTA updates can take days before all units get the download notification and since the J7 Pop has just started receiving this BRH3 update today, the wait may go all the way up to the weekend, so be patient. You may also try forcing the update via the device’s Settings menu.
