We just found Xperia T on the Nenamark benchmarks result, and are surprised to see the Android 5.0 version supposedly running on it. Though, this doesn’t mean much, since benchmarks can be easily manipulated by editing build.prop, so this is most probably fake. (Sorry if the title got you really excited!)

That said, since Google said in the last I/O that they will be shipping the upcoming version of Android to partner OEMs way earlier than actually releasing it on Nexus devices, the most best of the most optimists would like to think that Sony has already got its hands on the Android 5.0 builds and is working on an update for Xperia T and that this could be the test build that was bench marked using Nenamark.

But even then, Android 4.2 was just announced and Key lime Pie can only be expected to be announced only in next I/O which should be in May-June 2013. So, no way Google has already finalized a massive update Android 5.0 is going to be (going by its version number), and already distributing the test builds already to OEMs.

More so, Sony has confirmed that it will be upgrading the Xperia T with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (not even Android 4.2!) in mid-Q1 2013, so this could not Android 5.0 by any chance. Oh btw, the processor is overclocked too, so this could be simple case of one semi-pro Android user having fun with rooting and overclocking on his Xperia T. That’s that.
