Although a standalone Android app for Alexa already exists, the e-commerce giant is integrating its virtual assistant into its Android app starting this week.
This will, of course, help Alexa reach wider audience considering the fact that the Amazon shopping app can be found pretty much on every Android handset.
For the unaware, the company had already made Alexa available for iPhone in March, i.e., a few months ago. Amazon, back then, promised that the feature would be arriving on Android soon. And well, here’s the day.

That being said, Amazon didn’t send out a press release nor did it officially sent out a statement regarding the same just yet. It, however, did confirm Alexa’s arrival on Android to TechCrunch.
So, once the feature is live on all the Android handsets, users can ask Alexa about anything as they normally would while using it on Echo devices.
