The Silent Cartographer has three Skulls – Bandana, Acrophobia, and Hip Fire – and one Terminal, Status Update, found in that order as you follow the mission route.
This route keeps the pickups in mission order, so you can follow the objective path and stop only at the points that matter. The first Skull sits off the main path near the opening structure; after that, Hunter encounters are your cue to slow down and check the arena before moving on.

Bandana Skull cave behind the first structure
Get the Warthog
After the beach opening, take the Warthog and follow the normal mission route toward the first structure.
Stop before going inside
When the objective points you into the structure, stay outside instead of entering.
Check the back of the structure
Drive around behind it and look for the cave entrance.
Follow the cave
Go through the cave to the small pickup area.
Grab Bandana
Pick up the Bandana Skull, then return to the route and continue the mission.
Acrophobia Skull on the Hunter pillar
Reach the circular Hunter area
Continue until you reach the arena with two Hunters and a central metal pillar.
Do not drive through
Stop here even though the mission route lets you push past the fight.
Make the area safe
Clear the enemies or create enough space to climb without being knocked off.
Use the sloped side
Climb the sloped metal side of the pillar or strut rather than trying awkward jump chains.
Walk along the upper lip
Get onto the higher lip and walk upward toward the tree and foliage.
Pick up Acrophobia
Collect the Acrophobia Skull near the top of the pillar.
Status Update Terminal in the outside Hunter arena
Reach the outside Hunter arena
Follow the mission path until you reach the outside arena with two Hunters.
Deal with the Hunters
Clear the Hunters or create enough space to safely check the structure.
Move to the outer side
Stay outside and head around to the outer side of the arena structure.
Check the structure side
Look along the outer structure side instead of going underground toward the security override.
Find the Terminal
Scan the outer side of the structure in the Hunter arena for the Terminal.
Activate Status Update
Interact with the Status Update Terminal to add it to your Terminal collection.
Hip Fire Skull inside the blue-lit shaft
Clear the underground room
Take out the enemies first, because this area has enough pressure to make the drop messy.
Use the Hunter side as your cue
Head toward the left-side walkway near where one of the Hunters was positioned.
Follow the walkway down
Stay on that side of the room instead of looping around through a longer route.
Look into the blue-lit opening
Find the vertical shaft or opening with the blue light and look down.
Aim for the right ledge
Drop carefully onto the narrow ledge on the right-hand side.
Collect Hip Fire
Pick up the Hip Fire Skull from the ledge before leaving the area.

Halo: Campaign Evolved moves these pickups, so the older Bandanna and Famine-style searches send you to the wrong places.
The common wrong turn for Bandana is searching inside the first structure, when the Skull is outside through the cave behind it. For Acrophobia, keep the climb simple: use the sloped side, reach the lip, and walk up toward the foliage instead of trying to force difficult jumps.
The Hip Fire miss usually happens when you drop too far into the blue-lit shaft. Line yourself up with the narrow right-side ledge before stepping off, and clear the room first so you are not rushing the fall under fire.
