Hotel Haldane door code — 18 / January / 1996

The first important door combination is found at Hotel Haldane.

The lock is different from the later four-digit keypads. You need to enter three pieces of information:

18 → January → 1996

This is the door lock code for obtaining the Room 204 Key.

To solve it, use the clues around the hotel and the CRTV. The relevant broadcast provides the number 18 and points toward January, while the room-service information provides the year 1996.

Enter the three values into the date-style lock to open the door. This gives you access to the Room 204 Key, which is required to continue your progress through the hotel section.

So, if you are stuck at the first Hotel Haldane lock, the answer is:

18 / January / 1996

Do not enter it as a single four- or six-digit number. The lock uses the separate day, month and year values.

Shorefront Family Clinic Reception code — 2896

The next major door code appears at the Shorefront Family Clinic.

Before reaching this section, you need Zoe’s Lanyard. Once inside the clinic, find the room marked Z Ellis.

A Post-it note near the computer gives you the four-digit combination:

2896

Return to the locked Reception door and enter 2896.

The door opens into the reception area and lets you continue through the clinic toward the Pharmacy.

St. Amelia Medical Center Surgery door — 7103

At St. Amelia Medical Center, you encounter another four-digit keypad.

The code is:

7103

The number is provided through the pager during the Patient section.

Enter 7103 at the locked Surgery door to access the next area and continue with the X-ray puzzle.

This code is also relevant when you revisit the Medical Center’s alternate version.

St. Amelia Medical Center Records Room — 2605

Another locked door at St. Amelia leads to the Records Room.

Use:

2605

The clue for this code is located upstairs. Once you have the combination, return to the Records Room and enter 2605.

Inside, you can search the records area and obtain the medical item needed for progression.

CEG HQ Security Room code — 4895

The CEG HQ section introduces another keypad door.

The Security Room is located near the reception area on the ground floor.

Before entering the code, check the Maintenance room for the clue. The whiteboard provides a starting number and a sequence of arrows. Follow the indicated keypad path to determine the final combination.

The answer is:

4895

Enter 4895 to open the Security Room.

Inside, you can access the computer, use the phone to save and obtain the Access Card needed for the next part of the CEG HQ section.

CEG HQ Finance Department code — 2709

Later in CEG HQ, you encounter the locked Finance Department.

The door code is:

2709

Enter the four digits into the keypad to open the Finance Department and continue through the building.

SWDP – Different Valve F door code — 592

The locks in the SWDP – Different section work differently from the earlier keypad doors.

Here, you use the Remote Systems Control panel and select the appropriate command, equipment type and numerical ID.

For the Valve F door, use:

Unlock → Door → 592

The 592 ID can be identified through the relevant valve camera.

After selecting the correct options and entering 592, confirm the command to unlock the door and reach Valve F.

SWDP – Different door code — 621

Another SWDP door uses the Remote Systems Control panel.

Use:

Unlock → Door → 621

This is a three-digit equipment ID rather than a conventional keypad password. Make sure you select the Door equipment category before entering the number.

SWDP – Different door code — 047

The next door uses:

Unlock → Door → 047

Because the ID begins with zero, enter all three digits as 047.

Do not shorten it to 47.

SWDP – Different door code — 793

The final listed SWDP door uses:

Unlock → Door → 793

Select Unlock, choose Door, enter 793, and confirm the command.

Other combinations in Silent Hill: Townfall

Silent Hill: Townfall has several other number-based puzzles, but they should not be confused with the door codes above.

The organ transport container at Zoe’s house uses 956 on the left lock and 133 on the right lock. This gives you Zoe’s Lanyard.

The Pharmacy locker uses 6539, while the Community Garden shed uses 1993.

CEG HQ also contains several storage lockers with combinations including 772, 184, 575, 971 and 490. The AUX locker uses 0825.

The SWDP control system has additional equipment IDs, including 245, 130, 246, 781 and 592. These numbers only work when combined with the correct command and equipment category.

The D71 value is also used during the Clamp Release Procedure, but it is not a door code.
