Experience Abstraction currently has three confirmed character/state entries: the normal player, the abstracted player, and Caine as a Cellar event NPC, not a full Amazing Digital Circus roster.
Experience Abstraction is inspired by The Amazing Digital Circus, but its current Roblox build is not a big playable roster game. The important entries are player forms and one named event NPC, so this guide focuses on what you can actually encounter or become in a match.
Current character and state list

| Entry | What it does |
|---|---|
| Normal Player | The default Roblox avatar state, built around survival, sanity management, and staying untransformed. |
| Abstracted Player / Abstraction | A transformed player state that becomes a dark, glitch-like creature able to chase and attack others. |
| Caine | A named event NPC tied to the Cellar sequence, not a playable or unlockable character. |
This is the full useful list for the current in-game character/state setup. Searches for a larger Digital Circus-style cast usually mix the Roblox game with the show’s broader roster, but Experience Abstraction is centered on sanity, transformation, and player interaction.
Normal Player state

Every match starts with you as a Normal Player, using your regular Roblox avatar before any abstraction happens. This is the survival side of the game: you manage your sanity, stay with other players, and avoid the conditions that push you toward transforming.
The main risks are darkness, isolation, and being too close to someone who is already abstracted. If your goal is to stay human for as long as possible, grouping up matters because the game punishes players who drift away from others for too long.
A normal player is also needed for the Caine event. One player has to remain untransformed while another nearby player is already abstracted, because the normal player is the one who triggers the chat interaction connected to the Cellar.
Stay close to another normal player if you want to avoid abstraction, but keep distance from an Abstraction unless you are trying to trigger Caine or force a transformation.
Abstracted Player form
An Abstracted Player is not a separate named character. It is your own avatar after the abstraction process takes over, turning you into a dark, glitch-like creature instead of a normal survivor.
Once abstracted, your role changes from staying alive to pressuring other players. Abstracted players can chase, attack, and help spread the danger across the server, making them the match’s main active threat rather than a traditional selectable character class.
The supported triggers are clear: abstraction can happen after too much isolation, too much time in darkness, or close proximity to another Abstracted Player. If you are trying to become abstracted on purpose, those are the conditions to lean into; if you are trying to survive, those are the conditions to avoid.
Caine as the Cellar event NPC

Caine is the only named character currently used in a meaningful in-game way, but he is not a hero, skin, morph, or unlockable character. He appears as a special NPC event tied to accessing the Cellar.
The event requires coordination between two players: one must already be fully abstracted, while another must remain normal and stand close enough to trigger the interaction. The normal player then uses chat to call Caine.
The exact chat text has one small conflict: the common command is Caine, while some players use caine!. If one does not work in your server, try the other while keeping the same setup: one normal player near one fully abstracted player.
Pomni, Jax, Ragatha, Kinger, Gangle, Zooble, and Kaufmo
Pomni, Jax, Ragatha, Kinger, Gangle, Zooble, and Kaufmo are the names many players look for because of the game’s inspiration. In the current Roblox game, they are not available as playable characters or interactive NPCs.
That means you should not plan a match around picking Pomni, unlocking Jax, meeting Ragatha, or finding the rest of the Digital Circus cast as functional in-game characters. The real playable loop is about whether players stay normal, become abstracted, or coordinate the Caine event.
Choosing your match role
| Role | Best use |
|---|---|
| Normal Player | Survive longer, manage sanity, and keep the Caine setup possible. |
| Abstracted Player | Hunt other players or help trigger the Caine event with a normal teammate. |
| Caine coordinator | Use chat near an Abstracted Player to start the Cellar-related event. |
Your role choice in Experience Abstraction is less about selecting a character and more about deciding how you want to behave during the match. You can play defensively as a normal survivor, intentionally push toward abstraction, or coordinate with another player to set up Caine.
If you are joining public servers, the most reliable plan is to decide early whether you are staying grouped for survival or splitting off to become abstracted. For the Caine route, talk to another player first, because the setup depends on both states being present at the same time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Caine playable in Experience Abstraction?
No. Caine functions as an event NPC for the Cellar sequence, so you cannot select, control, or unlock him as your character.
Are Pomni and Jax in Experience Abstraction?
Pomni and Jax are not part of the current playable or interactive character set. The same applies to the wider Digital Circus names players commonly search for.
How many confirmed characters are in Experience Abstraction right now?
There are three current character/state entries to track: Normal Player, Abstracted Player / Abstraction, and Caine.
Is an abstracted player a character or a transformation?
An Abstracted Player is a transformation of a player’s own avatar. It is not a separate named character with its own identity.
What chat command summons Caine?
Use Caine in chat while a normal player is near a fully abstracted player. If that fails, try caine!, since both versions are used by players for the same event setup.
