The ZTE Axon 7 is more than a year old now, but that isn’t stopping it from enjoying the latest Android software. According to a company representative, the Axon 7 will receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update soon.

In a post on a ZTE forum, the representative told users that the Android Oreo update for the Axon 7 is currently under development. The final update would be released once all the bugs and issues are taken care of.

That is great news to all the Axon 7 owners around the world. The phone was released in May last year and packs a good punch. It has a 5.5-inch QuadHD AMOLED display, the Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB of storage, a 20MP rear camera, and a 3250mAh battery.

The phone originally came with Android Marshmallow and then received an update to Nougat in July this year. And now, it will soon receive an update to Android Oreo as well. We will let you know as soon as there’s more information about the release date.
