A new software update has been released for the ZTE Axon 7 with several optimizations and bug fixes. The OTA update is version A2017GV1.0.0B08, or B08 in short, and weighs 278MB in size. This update is based on Android Marshmallow, not Nougat, and uses the MiFavor 4.0 UI, while talking about 7.0, the Axon 7 Nougat update is scheduled for early January 2017 release.
According to the changelog provided in the OTA update, a new ZTE-Locker has been added. This update also installs the latest December security patch for optimum security. Several bugs have also been fixed by ZTE in this update. The red tint in photos that appeared when photos were captured in low light will no longer be seen.
Apart from that, the update has fixed some wording issues, improved performance and stability and also optimized the prompts for new messages. All in all, this OTA update is highly recommended for Axon 7 users.
ZTE also recently released a software update for the US version of Axon 7 Mini that added VoLTE support.
