Even since Asus announced that they plan to release the Android 8.0 update for both of ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 4 series of handsets, the company hasn’t spoken much about the target release date or roadmap or anything like that. But it looks like they have been working on the 8.0 update behind the scenes, which they should be, as today we have got our first glimpse of Asus’ Oreo update thanks to a leak from ZenFoneblog.
The leak shows the company’s custom skin dubbed as ZenUI on Oreo, running on Zenfone 3. To be honest, there isn’t much difference in how the ZenUI looks on Nougat and Oreo. That’s not necessarily bad, as the ZenUI is already pretty clean, and we hope they cut down on the bloatware.
If you are surprised that the Oreo update has leaked running on ZenFone 3, and not ZenFone 4, then you are not alone. Usually, we see company’s latest and greated leaked out running the latest OS from Google, but to tell you the truth, this situation is even better.
‘Android Oreo expected release for all major devices’
The latest flagship is usually the first device to get the major Android OS update, so ZenFone 4’s Oreo is a given for a timely release, but seeing ZenFone 3 run Android 8.0 already gives us assurance that its users around the world won’t have to lot as much as other flagships of 2016 would have to probably. Right?
Anyway, tell us what you think of the Asus’s Oreo update, looks-wise that is?
