The wait has been long, but it is finally here. A working version of the Xposed Framework for Android 8.0 Oreo is now available. Those of you who have been waiting for Xposed can now rest easy.
You can now install Xposed on your Google Pixel 2 devices and any device that is running Android Oreo. It doesn’t matter if you’ve got the official release or you are running an unofficial version of the OS. All of the Xposed modules and the framework will now work.
However, we have to tell you that this is still a beta release, which means that you may encounter some bugs and crashes. It is also possible that some of the modules may not work on your device. As per the developer, the build is stable enough for daily use. People have already tested it and have confirmed it to work without many bugs.
To install Xposed on Oreo-based devices, you will need root first. Once the device is rooted, you can flash the Xposed zip via a custom recovery and try out your favorite modules. For Android 8.0 devices, you will need to install the SDK 26 framework, and for Android 8.1 devices you will need SDK 27.
You may face some app crashes, as we mentioned earlier, and the developer is aware of it. An update should be available soon with fixes.
