After the Sony Xperia X, the company is now rolling out the July security patch to the Xperia XZ Premium handset which arrives with the build 47.0.A.7.90.

As usual, the company hasn’t revealed the changelog for the update. However, considering the fact that the update is 320MB in size, it should contain some performance improvements as well as a few bug fixes alongside the security patch.

So, we recommend you install the update as soon as you get the notification. This way, you won’t have to deal with the various bugs that exist (if any) in the current build.

Also, the overall security of your Xperia XZ Premium will also be improved once the update is installed. That said, before installing or, we must say, downloading the update, you should take care of a few things.

Firstly, keep a back up of your data handy. Then ensure to switch to a Wi-Fi network before downloading the update. This will help you save some mobile data.

And finally, charge your phone before installing the update. It’s advisable to maintain at least 50% charge before installing the update.
