The Chinese tech maker Xiaomi has partnered with ROM maker AOKP (Android Open Kang Project) for the MIUI 7 interface that is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. This was confirmed by the official blog of AOKP that revealed that the two firms are working on the MIUI 7 that will debut with the Mi 5.
The blog claimed that those at AOKP are working along with Xiaomi on a refreshed and new MIUI 7 interface that will be based on Android 5.1. The interface is codenamed MiKangy for internal purposes and it is likely to take a new claim on the Android UI.
The blog post included that the new UI will be packed with popular aspects from Cyanogen, Omni, ParanoidAndroid and AOKP to offer a submerging experience to the users. The ROM maker claims that the Mi 5’s UI will evolve with the user and that it will have personalized aspects after a few months.
AOKP claims that the partnership with Xiaomi will not leave any impact on the future of the firm, thereby discarding the rumors regarding acquisition.
