The Chinese vendor Xiaomi is likely to have partnered with the retail chain The Mobile Store to sell selected smartphones via the brick and mortar stores in the country. Today, Xiaomi’s Mi 4 and Redmi Note 4G smartphones has been let out on sale in the first set of retail availability. This is happening via 55 outlets of The Mobile Store outlets in the Delhi-NCR region.
Notably, the handsets are available for the same pricing as online such as Rs 19,999 for the 16 GB variant of the Mi 4 and Rs 9,999 for the Redmi Note 4G respectively. Of course, the Redmi Note 4G is available for retail availability via the Airtel stores, but buyers will have to first register online to grab the devices.
As of now, there is no word regarding the expansion of The Mobile Store tie-up to other regions in the country. Notably, the outlets of the retail chain will become the service centres for the Xiaomi devices and users can get their after sales services and support from these outlets.
Recently, Xiaomi has been trying to move away from its partnership with the online retailer Flipkart. In an attempt to do so, it started selling its Mi accessories via its own official online store. May be, the firm will soon bring all its products to the brick and mortar stores in the country.
