Unlike previous versions of Android that only the Google Pixel/Nexus devices were able to participate in the beta testing program, Android 9 Pie was opened up to more non-Google devices, among them Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S. However, the OS had the company’s MIUI 9 on top of Pie, which has since been replaced by MIUI 10, although the latter is still in beta.
Now that the stable version of Android Pie is among us, Xiaomi is stepping up the game by bumping the software version to MIUI 10. The company has opened up invitations to the program and is targeting global users of the Mi Mix 2S. If interested, submit your application by August 9th and if selected, you’ll receive a confirmation message on August 12th.
