It all started when Apple launched the iPhone X back in 2017. The phone came with what Cupertino calls Animoji, which is, essentially, some kind of animated emoji that respond to facial expressions via the front camera. Since then, we’ve seen similar implementations on various Android devices from Samsung, Oppo, and now Xiaomi, which now has Mi Moji.
With Mi Moji, you can now animate up to 12 (for now) 3D animated emojis in a recording of up to 10 seconds, which can then be shared with friends through various platforms. You can share Mi Moji in its original format or auto-edit to sound like a man or woman, which also makes some alterations to the audio output.
Since Xiaomi Mi Moji isn’t official yet, getting hold of the installation package isn’t such an easy task. But we’ve done the dirty work for you and we have the Mi Moji APK download with us, which you can grab via the link below and install it on any Xiaomi phone right now.

If you don’t know how to install APK files, we have a handy guide here. Still, it seems that Mi Moji could find its way to the Google Play Store or may simply be part of a future MIUI 10 update. Time will tell!
