After months of testing, Xiaomi has finally come out with the stable MIUI 10 OTA update for its Mi Max and Mi Max Prime devices. The update is limited to MIUI only as it still runs atop Android Nougat. The update also bears the April security patch, which is baffling, to say the least.

The update bears software version MIUI V10.1.1.0.NBDMIFI and weighs in at 307MB. The changelog highlights the all-new UI with full-screen capabilities, natural sound system, the addition of portrait mode in single camera phones, and revamping of the Notes and Clock apps among other bug fixes and improvements.

In case you own either of the two devices, you must’ve received a notification about the availability of the update. You can choose to install it by tapping the notification itself. In case you haven’t received a notification, go to Settings > About phone > System update > Check for updates.

Once the updater app shows the availability of a new update, tap on Update to download and install it on your phone.

It has also been revealed that Xiaomi will release the Android 9 Pie update on the Mi Max 3 phone this week. As far as the Mi Max 2 phone is concerned, Xiaomi had started rolling out the MIUI 10 stable version but halted it recently, possibly due to bugs, but is expected to resume soon after the issues have been resolved.
