Xiaomi Mi 8 might have debuted alongside the company’s latest custom ROM MIUI 10, but the device has MIUI 9.5 preinstalled out of the box. While a good number of Xiaomi devices have already started enjoying MIUI 10, it’s only now that Xiaomi Mi 8 users can also join the party.
The Chinese OEM has opened invitations for Xiaomi Mi 8 users willing to take part in the MIUI 10 beta testing program, but as usual, not everyone will be accommodated. To ensure the figure is manageable, Xiaomi has limited the application window to a few days ending July 15th (Beijing Time).
Those whose applications will be successful will be communicated to on July 18th with details of how to download and install MIUI 10 beta on their Mi 8 units. Since this is a global exercise, it welcomes Mi 8 users from all regions across the globe. Xiaomi says other devices may also be considered into the program, although we don’t know which ones.

Other requirements include downloading and installing QQ for communication purposes, having an unlocked bootloader, must be using the latest MIUI Global Beta ROM and also keep in mind that English is the official language for communication.
