Xiaomi Mi 8 is the company’s latest flagship phone and the device is now receiving a new software update that doesn’t bring any changes to the base software of Android 8.1 Oreo, but it does ring some changes to the skin running on top of stock Android and a bunch of other improvements and bug fixes.

In the new update that installs software version MIUI 9.6.7, the Mi 8’s camera performance has been greatly improved and so is the battery life. Also, those who have been experiencing some issues with GPS performance should grab this update once the OTA download notification shows up in the notifications shade.

The MIUI 9.6.7 update, which is a stable version, further ups the device’s Android security patch to the month of August 2018, improves general system stability and optimizes the general performance of the Xiaomi Mi 8.

This is an OTA update that is targeting users of the global MIUI stable ROM on the Mi 8, so don’t expect to get any download notification if using the latest MIUI 10 ROM beta on the handset. Using the download link below, though, any Mi 8 user can be able to skip the OTA queue and instead install the update manually.
