Galaxy Core Prime and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 get April security patch update

Samsung is rolling out a new firmware update to Galaxy Core Prime and Galaxy Tab A 8.0. The update installs April security patch. Although, a regular monthly update and a minor one, it is highly recommended as it enhances the security of your device.

The update is hitting the WiFi version of Galaxy Tab A 8.0 as build number P350ZSU1BQD5. On the other hand, Galaxy Core Prime and Galaxy Core Prime LTE are receiving the firmware update as build number G360FXXS1BQD2 and G361FXXU1AQD1 respectively.

Other than bringing the monthly security patch, the update also tags along regular bug fixes and system improvements. Being pushed as an OTA, it may take a while to appear on your device. But you can check for it manually by heading to Settings > About device > System updates.

Meanwhile, Samsung has also started pushing May security patch update to Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy C9 Pro. The update arrives as build number G610YZTU1AQD7 and C9000ZCU1AQE2 for Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy C9 Pro (China) respectively.
