While Android lets you change the look of your device’s interface to match those of other operating systems by simply downloading a new home launcher app and replacing the default one, those using AOSP custom ROMs like CyanogenMod (CM) and AOKP can make quite a few deeper modifications of the interface thanks to the inbuilt theme chooser in these ROMs. There are plenty of awesome looking themes submitted by fans, and a new Windows 8 theme may just be the theme you need to get the best of both Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 if you’re running CM or AOKP.
You can tell just by the screenshots above that the theme is really beautiful and has some pretty intensive theming involved. The icons, menus, navigation buttons, status bar icons, system apps like Messaging and Contacts, and even the camera interface has been changed to match the look on Windows Phone 8, one of the most beautiful mobile OS’ out there. The theme also supports a lot of third-party apps and home launchers, taking almost two months to complete, and the final effort certainly shows.
The theme comes in both free and paid versions, and you’ll have to buy the latter for $ 2.99 to get the complete experience, which might come off as a bit costly to some for a theme. Still, you can always try out the free version to see if the theme is worth your money (which it certainly is if you ask me).
