Snapchat’s My AI has had to suffer several setbacks since its earlier-than-expected launch in February 2023. Of its various issues, it’s also known to glitch and go dark, and sometimes even do things it’s not meant to. Now, it appears that a similar bug is causing Snapchat AI to disappear again.

My AI’s disappearance is usually met with confusion but there are many AI skeptics who delight at having the AI removed.
It’s unclear what is the cause of this glitch currently. But it’s not without precedent since it’s known to have done so several times in the past. Last year, the digital assistant even started posting second-long Stories on users’ feeds – something that shouldn’t be possible for it – and then disappeared.
Although there isn’t much evidence of it glitching that hard this time, disappearing out of nowhere could be related to similar technical breakdowns and server-side issues.
Another possibility could simply be that the user has blocked or cleared My AI from Chat Feed, which ends up hiding My AI. But that can be fixed simply by manually adding back My AI.
However, if that isn’t the case, it’s very likely an issue with My AI itself and will need to be addressed by Snapchat. In the meantime, users can try the different ways to fix Snapchat’s My AI to make sure of it.
