A new line of Vodafone smartphones carrying the moniker of Smart 8 has been launched today. These are the Smart N8 and Smart V8 Android phones, where the former is a low-end device with a 5-inch screen, 13MP main shooter, 16GB internal memory and a mediocre 1.5GB of RAM. This budget device carries a price tag of EUR 149.90.

The Vodafone Smart V8 on the other hand carries a heavier specsheet. The V8 features a 5.5-inch display and is powered by a 1.4 GHz octa-core chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB on board storage. This device has a larger 16MP sensor as its main camera.

To put it into perspective, both smartphones from Vodafone stand well below flagship territory with an average set of specifications. But to make up for that, Vodafone may incorporate attractive offers on data and call rates with these devices.

Vodafone is also offering an even more pocket friendly device with the Vodafone Smart E8, which comes with a minimalist 8GB of internal memory and a smaller 5-inch display.

Even though these smartphones don’t have such high-end specs, all three of them run on Android 7.0 Nougat. More devices from the new Smart 8 family are expected to arrive soon by the end of this month.
