The selfie-centric camera phone Vivo X9, which till now was available in Gold and Rose Gold colors, has been launched in a new matte black color in China. The phone is priced at 2798 yuan, which is approximately $410, or Rs 27,700.

The biggest highlight of the X9 phone is its dual camera setup at the front of 20MP+8MP resolutions. The 20MP camera uses Sony IMX376 sensor while the 8MP camera capture depth of the color to produce a good selfie effect. There’s also a 16MP rear camera with PDAF and f/2.0.

Other specs include a 5.5-inch 1080p display, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz, 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. Power comes courtesy 3080mAh capacity and it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The phone houses a fingerprint scanner as well.

The China exclusive Vivo X9 phone was released last year in November and has remained confined to its parent country for long. But that should change soon as the device got listed on Bluetooth SIG, GFXBench and Indonesia’s certification agency TKDN as well giving enough hints that it will soon be launched in Europe and other Asian countries.
