Although it’s only a week or so before Google starts rolling out October’s Android security patch, Verizon has started rolling out an update for September 201 security patches to the Galaxy S9 and S9+.
These two already got the update in Europe, but as usual with carrier-based models, the long wait has brought us here, where the S9 is getting an update with software version G960USQS3ARI6 while the S9+ is on the receiving end of software version G965USQS3ARI6.

It’s not just the S9 pair that’s receiving new updates from Verizon. If you own any of the LG G6, LG V30 or LG Stylo 2, the Big Red has a new update for each of these three too and like the S9, the trio is receiving the latest Android security patch for the month of September 2018. The G6’s update has software version VS98820d while the V30’s has version VS99620f. As for the Stylo 2, you get an update with version VS83520k.

All phones are receiving the new update over the air, meaning it will take some days before all units get the OTA download notification. With the OTA having started rolling out a few days ago, some users may have to wait until end of this week before the update arrives, so you’ll need to be patient.
