Oops! Looks like somebody slipped up. While we already kinda knew that the the device which was not-too-long-ago called the Droid DLX or Droid Deluxe or the Droid Incredible X would most likely be known as the HTC Droid DNA, thanks to a leaked MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) List from Verizon. A few days ago, there was also a leaked render image of the HTC Droid DNA posted on Twitter.
The device at that time was listed against the model number HTC6435LVW with the LVW bit referring to an LTE enabled device from Verizon Wireless. Now it appears that this device, and we feel it is the same device due to the numeric model number being the same – 6435, has somehow made its way to the listed devices on Verizon’s Support Page. It is unusual for unannounced devices to be listed on official support pages, and considering the kind of specs the VZW HTC Droid DNA packs, it is surely not something that Verizon would knowingly list on its website, without making a big noise about it first.
That being said, this much is for certain now that the moniker of HTC Droid DNA is indeed a reality, and if it is the same 5-inch 1080p display beast that we have heard of, then we should be expecting some big announcements from Verizon real soon.
From what we do know, or rather, think we know, the rumored/currently known specs, talk of a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor coupled with 2 GB RAM, a 5-inch 1080p display, 16GB internal storage, an 8 MP main camera, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board.
Waiting to hear from you soon, Verizon!
