This is pretty great news for Verizon Galaxy Note Edge users who can now gain full root access thanks to recent developments in the developer community which allows you to unlock — break open apart, if you insist — the bootloader of the device, thus allowing for system modifications like we can on other variants of the Note Edge, except the one at AT&T.
It was to be expected that the Note Edge bootloader unlock isn’t a walk in the park. You need to be on Android 5.1.1 (yes, resist 6.0.1 if you want bootloader unlock, and thus full and proper root), and have a Samsung eMMC whose CID starts with 15 (don’t worry, it’s easy to find out that as there’s an app to check that), and good knowledge ADB and enthusiasm to attempt this.
Those of you interested in giving it a try can get required tools and guide from the official page here.
