Getting root access is one of the many geeky things you can do on an Android device, and it has many useful/fun benefits as well. But if you wish to unroot your ZTE Merrit, for whatever reason, user stayboogy over at Android Forums have created a simple zip file to unroot the device.
Just grab the unroot .zip file from download link below and install/flash it to your ZTE Merrit using a custom recovery like TWRP.

Note that flashing this unroot.zip file to your ZTE Merrit will not restore your device back to stock or get stock recovery back. It’ll only unroot the device, nothing else.
