LG has been quite busy lately dishing out Android 9 Pie updates to various variants of its flagship phone from yesteryear, the LG V40 ThinQ. More recently, the T-Mobile variant got the nod shortly after the U.S. unlocked model received a similar update.

Earlier this month, AT&T released the Pie update to the V40 ThinQ, becoming the second carrier to update the device in the country after Verizon did so in late May 2019.

Today, those using the V40 on U.S. Cellular can speak the same language as their counterparts, with the OS arriving as version V405UA20a.

Besides the update to Android Pie, the OTA also tags along a newer Android security patch from May 2019, which isn’t the latest by any means. But of course, most won’t mind as long as they get a new OS upgrade.

It seems this update has been floating around for a week or so, meaning some V40 units on U.S. Cellular should have gotten the OTA by now. If not, it won’t be long before it arrives, but you can always try forcing it via Settings > About phone > Software update and download manually.
