Asus India announced that it will be launching three variants of the ZenFone 2 smartphone that went official at the CES 2015 tech show this month. The firm has not revealed any details on which models will be launched in the country.
At the CES 2015 tech show, the Taiwanese tech firm unveiled three versions of the ZenFone 2 with the model numbers ZE551ML, ZE550ML and ZE500CL. The first one has two variants and this makes us wonder which models will be released in India.
All the models of the Asus ZenFone 2 run on Zen UI based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The ZenFone 2 ZE551ML makes use of a 64 bit 2.3 GHz quad core Intel Atom Z3580 processor teamed up with 4 GB of RAM. There is a 2 GB RAM model of this device that is equipped with a 1.8 GHz quad core Intel Atom Z3560 processor as the ZenFone 2 ZE550ML. The ZenFone 2 ZE500CL is a low end model employing a 1.6 GHz dual core Intel Atom Z2560 processor.
All these models support additional storage support up to 64 GB with the help of a micro SD card. The Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML boasts of a 5.5 inch full HD display on the 2 GB and 4 GB RAM variants. On the other hand, the ZenFone 2 ZE550ML has a 5.5 inch display with HD resolution and ZE500CL is bestowed with a 5 inch HD display.
The ZenFone 2 ZE551ML with 4 GB and 2 GB RAM and ZenFone 2 ZE550ML are given a 13 MP PixelMaster camera at their back and there is a 5 MP front camera as well. The ZenFone 2 ZE551ML models have dual-tone flash as well. The ZE500CL features an 8 MP rear PixelMaster camera and a 2 MP front facer.
Both the ZenFone 2 ZE551ML variants and ZE550ML are energized by a 3000 mAh battery and the low end ZE500CL draws power from a 2,500 mAh battery.
