The tension is almost palpable, especially now that major phone manufacturers like Google and OnePlus have laid their flagship cards on the table. Samsung is expected to launch its next big smartphone Galaxy Note 10 this August and as tradition goes, the leaks are coming in greater numbers.

Popular tipster Ice Universe posted a tweet that indicated some serious revamp in the camera positioning of the Note 10. According to his tweet, Note 10 is expected to have a vertical rear camera on the top left corner of the phone.

Even though this should not come as a surprise after we saw this new camera layout on the Samsung Galaxy Fold, the fact that Samsung is revamping their camera is a serious indication of changing times.

Ice universe also suggested that the position of the front camera is expected to change. This is hardly a clue into what kind of innovation we can expect, especially after the way they managed to pull off the front camera in the S10 series, however, the speculation of a water drop notch display seems pretty passé after what the mechanized front cameras from OnePlus 7 Pro and the Asus Zenfone 6 have brought to the table. So we hope they’re not doing that to the Note 10.

This update was particularly disheartening after another tweet that came from Ice universe stated that the Note 10 will be ‘stable and mature.’ The tweet suggested that once Samsung is taking the best parts of Galaxy 10 and Note 9 and refurbishing it into the new look and feel of Note 10.

We’re sure Samsung is bringing more to the table, especially if the rumors are true about its 5G integration and a taller 19:9 panel which will allow for thinner bezels and a higher screen-to-body ratio.

With OnePlus 7 Pro offering a 90Hz refresh rate and Google Pixel 3a having a flagship level camera, maybe right now is a good time to reinvent the wheel instead of simply bringing in a more ‘stable and mature’ version that will do the job. Nevertheless, only time will tell whether the Note 10 will be a hit or a miss.

It was earlier rumored that Samsung would add two new colors to the Galaxy Note 10, Red and Pink. There is a talk going around that the Note 10 will feature a 6.75-inch display, and a bigger 4500 mAh battery capable of fast charging at 25W.
