Canada’s Telus is one of those carriers that maintain a regularly updated software support page, the latest update having been made a couple of days ago.
In the updated software update release schedule, Telus has revealed some significant information for owners of Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, and Galaxy Note 8 in regards to Android 9 Pie update.
Apparently, these devices have a week between now and the release of Pie. This will be over a month since the software was released in Europe and probably ahead of the U.S. market, where Samsung only released One UI beta 2 a month ago.
It’s worth noting that software update timelines are usually hard to stick to. Hopefully, Telus keeps its promise.
In the U.S., Samsung ended the beta testing program for the Galaxy Note 8 about two weeks ago, but up to now, the official rollout has yet to commence. But the wait should be over soon.
