T-Mobile is rolling out new updates to a series of Samsung phones, including two of those that were recently removed from Samsung’s devices to receive regular software updates.
Samsung Galaxy S8 users are receiving an update with software version G950USQS5CRH1 while the Galaxy S8+ is on software version G955USQS5CRH1. Users of the S8 Active are receiving software version G892USQS3BRH2 while those on the Galaxy Note 8 can look forward to an update with version N950USQS5CRG9. If you own the Galaxy Note 5, the update headed your way has software version N920TUVS6ERH1 while the Galaxy S6 Edge+ is receiving version G928TUVS6ERH1.

All six phones are receiving last month’s Android security patches and while it’s not the best thing to happen to the likes of Galaxy S8 and Note 8 since this month’s updates are already rolling out to the Google Pixels and Essential Phone, it’s a breath of fresh air into the 2015 Note 5 and S6 Edge+.
