T-Mobile has released new software updates for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+. These updates include bug fixes, system improvements, and a newer Android security patch.

Earlier today, AT&T also released a similar update for a bunch of Galaxy devices under its arsenal. T-Mobile’s update installs the October Android security patch on the Note 5 and the S6 Edge+. Apart from that, the update also includes fixes for the IMS Roaming and the DIGITS bug.

Those using the Note 5 and S6 Edge+ on T-Mobile should definitely install this update. The carrier has already started rolling out the update and users should either have already got it or receive it in the coming days. The firmware update build for the Note 5 is N920TUVU4EQJ3, whereas for the S6 Edge+ it’s G928TUVU4EQJ3.

Samsung has also been releasing software updates with the October security patch for other devices. It’s an important update as it patches certain vulnerabilities in Android. T-Mobile has also released a similar update for the latest Galaxy S8 and S8+.
